The ladies here show up at 6 to finish up the cooking. We always host, and we buy the food, but they being amazing culinary artists...prefer to cook...and we built a kitchen big enough for them to do just that.
They do their canning over here too. I have no issue with that as long as, with very little effort, I find a buttermilk pie in the fridge! Love those! ☺
