@AbsolutelyFabulous yeah you are right, their accent is a bit different.
One thing I noticed though, they seem more interested in what goes on here than we are about what goes on there. I imagine their culture is more about going through life peacefully and not drawing unnecessary attention. Maybe @CountScrofula or someone else from up there could shed some light on that.
Speaking of accents, even the French speakers there have a distinct Canadian accent. It is like softer than the accent from France.

It is not bad though. Sometimes foreigners ask me about American culture and I sum it up by saying, "We buy stuff we do not need with money we do not have so we can impress people we do not even like."
I want to be proud to be American. Just what is going on lately makes it really hard. We are considering a con man felon for president. I want to say, JFC America, what the f*** is that about?
Canadians are like if you made Minnesota a whole country but then stapled Quebec and the Maritimes to it so we could claim some sort of distinct culture.
