What is the longest friendship you've had in adulthood?

For some reason my friendships don't last long, maybe a couple years then we drift apart.

My best friend. We met when I was barely out of college and she’d just finished art school, 45 years ago. Another friend, whom I spoke to this week, was someone I met at work in 1988. And my best guy friend, and his wife, are two friends I met in 1999.
