@olderuncle944 I'm sitting in bed... unable to sleep.
I've got a lot of coins on my mind - as in over 30 pictures of coins... some of which I have never seen before and I've been collecting on and off for most of my life.
@olderuncle944 I have almost 500 coins in my collection - though I still have some to open from Christmas (the cancelled plans) and I might be collecting some more on New Years Eve.
I have been using my coin collection as part of my escape plan, so I have some coins in there that I will be looking to release back into the wild after I get out of here.
I can't save money in the usual way, so I save coins from change in my collection with a view to spending a few if I need to do so.
@HootyTheNightOwl wife and i saved 50cent pieces and made a down payment on our first house a few years in one year we saver 1200.00 dollars for vacation have not been able to do it again
@olderuncle944 I've been saving pandemic years coins - mostly 50p and £1 coins. I added 13 50p coins that I have gathered in recent months to my catalogue yesterday.
I do have some smaller denomination coins, too - but those are currently mixed up in the bottom of my case...
@olderuncle944 I have a suit case on wheels and this is a temporary solution.
I also have some coin cases with capsules that I'm hoping will come here between now and the new year. Those are more portable than my old albums - so I plan to encapsulate what I am definitely keeping and leaving the rest loose.
I can get rid of a lot of weight by getting rid of a lot of early British pennies and 2p's which aren't as rare as the media wants us to think they are. I will be leaving those here for weight reasons.
We have carried out a fresh risk assessment and decided that it is not safe for me to leave here while he's home because he has physically assaulted me the last three times that I have tried... so I'm looking to wait until after I have moved, then waiting until he is working overnight before I make my move again.
I just don't want to have my bag ripped out of my hands or a hat thrown at me again.
@olderuncle944 Not a lot £1 might be a bottle of milk.
£5 would be a good chunk of change towards the bus ticket from one city to the other... though I would still have to contribute a little to both options.
@olderuncle944 I want to try and get the change bottles banked after I move. We've been filling the 1p and 2p one since 2012, so there's a decent amount in there.
