I Care About Personality Not Looks

I have been thinking lately that I could be replaced by any other teacher doing my job, and nobody would notice the difference. And if I think about the cashier in the supermarket, or the driver in the bus where I am writing this, it would be like that too. Is this progress, being so easily replaceable? Is this really a good thing, being just cogs in the machinery? I don't think so.

Personality must be our resistance. Showing who we are doing our work. Not being workers. Being Mr.X or Mrs.Y at work.

Cierzo! I was having the same thoughts just this week. I voiced what I thought to the heads of the department telling them that customer service is falling with their desires to operate only by rules and procedures favoring speed over a truly enjoyable customer experience.
It shouldnt always about protocol and measuring the quantity of a persons work. Quality in the way you make a customer feel during their experience is more important sometimes and may not be able to be measured initially.

Too many rules and procedures and too little human touch 😞

@Cierzo: yes. Exactly. Not everyone needs or understand that.
