Open-Minded
I feel like my value is to understand what I don't know. I have a deep curiosity about most all things, and to understand those things, I have to have some degree of open-mindedness.
I have learned many things by challenging my own biases and perspectives, and I have learned many things by allowing others to tell me their perspectives on issues. The goal in trying to understand isn't that I have to be right. I don't have to push what I believe on others, and I don't have to adopt what others believe into my life either.
What I do get to do is understand how other people think and why they think how they do, because of how I approach learning about a person or other things that I don't understand. I recognize what may be right for me could be completely different for someone else, and I am okay with accepting that.
I do hope to receive the same grace I give to others, but if I don't, then I know when to walk away. I would say I am pretty open-minded, with a few exceptions that just cannot be crossed.
