I'm slow to pick up on new IT - usually wait till others have thoroughly tested its value.
For I while I was into trying every new thing concerning horses - but after a while learned to be more selective. Some things are just gimmicks that don't work. Others are brilliant innovations.
I recently dumped my decaying old gas stove for a two-hob induction cooktop.
it was tricky to get the feel of it because its numbers show watts, not temperatures -
but it only took a few days and now I'm extremely happy with it.
It saves power, cooks well, and is easy to use and keep clean.
I guess I'm happy to stick with what I know,
but will give something new a try
if I think it has a fair chance of being an improvement.
That doesn't just apply to things.
I'm always on the lookout for ways to improve my systems of gardening, land management, etc.

@hartfire Never adopt the newest thing, as it could well be replaced by something else. Wait a little and see how the tide flows

@hartfire I'm stuck between the two 🤣
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Depends on what it is. I like to try new foods but have limits depending on what the ingredients are.
SarithBorn · 18-21, M
@cherokeepatti Fair enough. 😇

@SW-User Why sadly? at least you know where you stand on this. 🧙♂️

@SarithBorn I want out of my comfort zone at times
SarithBorn · 18-21, M
@SW-User Decent point 🤔
Spoiledbrat · F
Both at times.
SarithBorn · 18-21, M
@Spoiledbrat I am torn between the two. Because the excitement of trying something new is alluring but at the same time knowing what to expect is a comfort in itself. 🤔
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
Both
SarithBorn · 18-21, M
@Rolexeo Same. 🤣
bijouxbroussard · F
I’m always happy to learn new things. But some things, like jumping out of planes, eating "prairie oysters", etc. will just have to wait until my next life. 🙂

@bijouxbroussard Agreed flying & height i'm good on solid ground thank you 🧙♂️
