Overcoming limitations

Our minds put limits on what we can do. To push past what you think your limits are is when real change happens. The only thing getting in the way of us is ourselves. We all have the strength and the power to to do the things that we want to do. And to be the people we want to be. I guess the question is, can we let go of our comforts and push past our own limitations?

Having dealt with multiple strokes I know a little about this. My first stroke was after bypass surgery. The only thing I remember vividly in the month that I was in a drug induced coma was one night as I laid strapped to my bed due to pulling tubes and pic lines out, it came to me that I could close my eyes, give up and pass relieving myself and my family of all this pain. I had decided that was the best solution and felt peace with that. As I started to let go my family came to mind and I could not go through with it. I became conscious in a transport having no Idea where I was or what had happened. My wife tells me they had prepared them for my death as the doctors did not think I would ever be anything but a vegetable at that point. That was 12 years and several strokes and heart issues and I'm still fighting. I cannot give up on my family and will continue fighting for them!
