I "Am Very Open-minded"

I believe I can say that I am “Very Open-minded” with a high degree of confidence. If there were a cause, it would more than likely be due to my need to constantly learn.

Honestly, this may sound weird, but I enjoy “people.” Now, I know I am a person, but I’m not everyone? I hope that makes sense, but just in case, please let me clarify. I, myself, have not and can not experience everything, nor can I truly like/dislike everything. I can only live my life…and that’s where “people” come in!

Thanks to the fact that there are such a great variety of lives going on besides my own, I am able to learn about things I could never experience, or even dream of. Whether it be Culture, Hobbies, Foods, Ideas, Feelings, Thoughts; I get the opportunity to imagine and feel these things by listening to others.

The enjoyment I get out of hearing a story/interest is akin to that of a just lit flame. The passion in someone’s voice as they recount an exciting happening. Funny, sad, delightful, even what one would consider the mundane! All of them are new perspectives that I can garner, consider, and take just a little bit more from than what could be said was given.

All in all, I guess I just find myself too interested in what I can be told by others to ever find the time to be grossed out, embarrassed, or judgemental. In conclusion, I want to know more about why and how people enjoy the things they do. Who knows, maybe I can learn to enjoy it, too!

I deeply apologize for going off on a tangent, but it happens when I get too into writing. Anyways, I hope you can also gain something from me, as I hope to from all of you! :D
