@Elessar Not this.

@SW-User Why not? It's "back in the days" and for the time this was peak elegance.

He was literally the king
SW-User
@Elessar Those leggings obviously and high heels... I don't think this one is authentic.

@SW-User Still peak elegance for "back in the days"
SW-User
@Elessar Maybe for them but not according to my post.

@SW-User It's absolutely authentic lmao, the painting is quite famous and there's plenty of historical evidence of this sort of outfit being common for the royals and the upper class at the time

Well you said "back in the days".. and these definitely weren't sport outfits or too short clothes lol

@SW-User Yeah well you're free to wear that stuff if you want. I'm free to wear my sports outfit. Or even the French king apparel lol

And in any case the outfit you propose is far more modern / less traditional than what you see in my pic.
SW-User
@Elessar Everybody is free to wear what they want, but in my opinion, man, those don't look appropriate for outside of sports activities, at all.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@SW-User What's appropriate or not is purely subjective. For me it's not appropriate wearing suits and other uncomfortable yet "elegant" stuff when it's 30°C+ outside, over some archaic dress codes that have no reason to exist in 2024.

@Elessar I understand that a coat shouldn't be worn in hot weather. I am from a country with relatively high temperature. Aside from thw rest is classic. A good shirt without any funky design, a straight pants that are not too tight.

@SW-User Shorts and T-shirt are my go to in summer, no matter what. And from what I'm seeing, especially with climate change unfolding, more and more people are stopping giving a f*ck about dress codes for good
