I like brave and strong people

I am always very much touched, to an extreme level, when I see someone trying to mend themselves, get over a difficult past, become a better person, and own up to their mistakes ... The respect they earn from me, would probably be twice as much, had they done things right from the beginning. 🤷‍♀️ Doesn't make sense maybe, but then, not all of us grew up in environments that helped us prosper and do things right. The fact that someone had a terrible past, and maybe they've done bad things in the process, but were strong to get themselves out of it, and to work on becoming a better version of themselves, is definitely way impressive than someone who was in an environment that made it easier to get their acts right from the beginning.

Only a hypocrite would hold the past of anyone against them.

It is because we cannot be in other people's shoes, and if we were, we don't even know if we would be as strong as them to get things right.. So sitting there, passing judgements on someone's past just feels terrible to me. Those with their holier than thou attitude.. They are usually the people who are currently doing horrible things secretly, and it probably just makes them feel bad when they see someone talking freely about a bad past, because it is beyond them.

As someone who strives to overcome crap from his past, I thank you for this. 🤗

@DrWatson Yea. You made me re-read the story looking for something funny in it. Because sometimes I am serious, but people still find it funny 🤷‍♀️ It is usally when I am sarcastic or whatever
