Kids draw a lot of irrational conclusions based on their very limited experiences.
I thought the world couldn't possibly be much bigger than our apartment complex. All those famous people I saw on TV had to live SOMEwhere in our neighborhood.
I thought when songs played on the radio, it was because the band was there playing live.
When I heard that grown-ups went to work to make money, I thought they were in some factory fabricating dollar bills.
I owned a few 8 tracks when I was a kid. For God knows what reason, I thought the ones I owned were the only copies in existence. Yep, that ONE copy of Aerosmith Rocks (and other releases) just somehow found their way to OUR home.
