I Am An Introvert But I'M Not Shy

If you're sitting alone, I'm likely to talk to you. Especially if you're at a party or bar, looking uncomfortable or sad. I'm really not shy.

For me being an introvert means large crowds at the mall or an amusement park make me nervous and my anxiety drains my energy. I need to plan ahead and prepare myself if I'm going to go to Walmart or a concert.

Preparing and recharging involves getting plenty of quiet alone time.

@ThePerfectUsername Everyone needs their alone time. lots of time, loud and to much happening around us raises ones anxiety. I would like to think myself, that introverts have more quality experiences with their time, just spending time with another introvert

@badgay I've met several extroverted people who seem to thrive in utter chaos and really dislike being alone.

My need for "space" baffles them, they take it personally as if I'm rejecting them.

Maybe they're just better at coping with more environmental stimuli than I am.

@Hairy I find extroverts are easily amused. They also crave group setting to gain approval from others. And introverts find more satisfaction with one on one conversations and more meaningful relationships. That's just my opinion though.
That’s more the way I am. I like people very much - just not in huge chunks of humanity.

I'm like that as well, except I'm also sort of shy in addition. At least IRL.

@DDonde I used to be extremely shy, so I understand how you feel. Once I became a little more self confident it got easier to come out of my shell around people I didn't know.
