I Am An Idiot

So today I think I got attacked by a fishing weight. I was pulling on fishing line hanging from a tree. Then decided to move the boat backwards while I hung onto the line. I could feel the tension in the line building. For a moment I thought maybe this is a bad idea. Suddenly the tension was gone and at the same time the branch high above whipped back into place. Then there was a sharp whack right on my knuckle followed by horrible pain. It was probably a weight on the line. All I wanted was the lure that was most likely at the end of the line up in the tree. Instead of getting a nice new lure I got a nice new blood blister.
