They disappear quickly is why. The Walmart store I worked at got about 50 and by the time I was working there had only a few left. They would all get used and then other customers would complain because there were no hand baskets for them. So they took what was left away. Then when the store got remodeled they got more hand baskets and put devices in them that would trigger the alarms when anyone tried to carry them out of the store. I no longer see any hand baskets at any of the Walmarts around here now.

It seems like a good point but I don’t think stores have racks for baskets outside like they do for carts

Hell I go to Lowes load a platform dolly up with lumber and load even the dolly onto the trailer
