Update: You shouldn't be proud of me for giving in when he called and convinced me to go.
Everyone was super nice, and everyone kept giving him crap about him cheating on me with a hippo 10+ years ago. They all reviewed a list of people and decided she was the "cockatoo." 😂
He apologized profusely all night. He almost cried when his friend said, "Imagine if someone treated your daughter like you did skeet skeet." Lol, it was too much. Everyone kept telling me how much he had changed, and he's an entirely different person now.
He took me on a motorcycle ride.
After that, he took me to his mom's, and we went on a double date with his sister and her bf.
We returned to his friends' house, which was a weird story on its own! They were roommates back when we were dating, and he is now a big detective. Dude is having problems because he was drunk and kept mentioning how he has shot and killed eight people and all the horrible stuff he sees every day. I noticed a gun on his desk, and I'm like, "You guys just chill with your gats out everywhere?" Then he told me he has a gun in every room because he has PTSD, and even one in his kids' room! Then he asked me how he could be a confident man and what that looks like.
On top of that, he was perturbed all night because he couldn't figure me out when he read people for a living. They both agreed I was so mysterious 👽
Then we went to bed and cuddled for about 5 minutes. He apologized some more. There was no PDA between us the whole time.
We hugged goodbye this morning, and he invited me to Utah. I could have stayed and gone to breakfast with them, but I decided to come home instead.
Very interesting night....
