Surrounded by idiots

I hate this, but yesterday I saw two people from my employer outside. What are the chances of this happening! Are they following me everywhere!!

The first I saw on the street, he looked me in the eye.. Me; pretending that I did not recognise him......... and just kept walking. O.o

The second I saw at the pharmacy inside the mall.. I was talking to the pharmacist, when she started talking to me. This one I genuinely did not recognise as she was employed recently. Kept talking to me, and and I kept looking at her with poker face, until I realised who she was after she brought up a meeting set up with her on Monday O.o Me; yea, I totally knew who you were. O.o

I don't think I have ever disliked the people I work with as much as I do here.. I can't relate literally to anyone, after whole four years... I knew this going in though, and it was not at all surprised. Can't wait to work in a more professional environment with less gossip, and more meaningful work to do.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales That's always cool. I was so pleased when my high school teacher recognised me after all of these years, and considering the number of students she teaches every year.

@BittersweetPotato that reminds me....when I was still at school I saw two teachers at the cricket when they should have been at a teachers conference ( no school for we kids).
Cue hands over face,shuffle past...you haven't seen us😅

one of them was my Physics teacher.
I was unclassified at 'O' level Physics which meant I was so bad I couldn't even be given an 'F'.
So that wouldn't have worked.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales A few years back, my mother told me what blew her mind, was when a kid stopped by her office and asked if she remembered one of her early students, "Joe Smith" ? Mom said she remembered and asked, "Yes, how is Joe doing ?" The kid replied, "he’s good.
He’s my grandfather !" 😳
