Assholes everywhere
I hate people who are assholes for no clear reason. So my dermatologist usually prescribes for me a cream that's only available in one pharmacy that's part of another hospital. It is not a regular pharmacy to buy generic meds from, and it is there only to dispense medication prescribed by doctors in that particular hospital. Nevertheless, I always get the cream from that pharmacy even though I visit a doctor from another hospital. Dermatologist appointments there are just very difficult, and I am not going to suffer through that just to get the cream. I always ask my doctor to write a note to get it from there.
So I went today to get my cream, and I gave the outside prescription to the reception guy, and told him that this medicine is available only here, because I assumed that he'd ask me. But then he seemed offended and was like, I am the one who will tell you if it is available or not. I felt like he wanted to leave me in suspence, is it available or not O.o Me carelessly; go ahead, i know it is available 🤷♀️
Then he went and asked the pharmacist inside, and was probably disappointed to learn that it is available and that it is okay for me to dispense it from there. He came back telling me that it will take two hours. O.o I was like; Ok, and went ahead and sat. I felt he was even more disappointed that I didn't complain about the two hours, because he kept stressing that it will take two hours, and I was like yea ok!
I didn't say a word because I was just very sure that it won't take this long! It is a Friday evening! Most people are outside, and not in pharmacies, and so it was relatively empty unlike how it usually is.. So why getting my medicine particularly would take this long!! Just because it is unavailable elsewhere, it doesn't mean that they will manufacture it inside just now. It was very clear to me that he was just an asshole either trying to get me to go away, or to complain so he could give me his piece..
I got my medicine in less than 20 mins, as expected... and I made sure to pack it in front of his desk, and to give him a funny look that he knew its meaning, as I was leaving.
I have no idea why anyone would be such an asshole to a complete stranger looking to get some medicine from the pharmacy her works at! 🤷♀️ Why can't people just be helpful and kind when they perform their job! 🤷♀️
I do a job that I know most people dislike me for doing, and sometimes it is very challenging to build a good relationship with my clients, and even when I do, something usually happens, and they feel they are stabbed in the back or whatever 🤷♀️ and it is ruins it a little bit, YET, I still manage to achieve some goodwill and trust in the relationship.. This guy, on the other hand, he could VERY EASILY have kind interactions with his customers, because the interactions are very limited and don't include any emotional complications, YET he still managed to make me dislike him very much!! Assholes everywhere. 🤷♀️
