And just like that another paladin of freedom of speech deleted my replies and then the whole post

Just for having asked for a source 🥴

😂😂😂 you just don't know when to stop!
room101 · 51-55, M
@Yulianna Noooooo too many of those buggers in London already. Then again, Abramovich did a runner pretty quickly. Maybe others like him have followed suite🤷‍♂️
Yulianna · 26-30, F
@room101 so it is valid London accent...
room101 · 51-55, M
@Yulianna The russian oligarch thing?

No! Not even a little bit.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Yeah apparently (and this was used against me) 'find it yourself and stop being lazy'.
Find something which probably doesn't exist? I won't waste my time.
SW-User
You just couldn’t handle the Truth. 😤
Elessar · 26-30, M
@SW-User I'm so unworthy of the Truth, that I get banned from it :(
SW-User
he did? source? 😏
deadgerbil · 26-30
@Elessar I honestly don't get conservatives. Imo he's one of the more 'moderate' conservatives; I've seen him support guns being banned and being pro covid vax and regulation, but then on the topic of gender, etc and electric cars, as illustrated by a recent post of his, his brain goes completely brain dead
Elessar · 26-30, M
@deadgerbil I don't know if it's his case, but I think a significant percentage of them are just nostalgic of a previous (fictional?) time in which "everything functioned as it should have", and this is especially true in a society that is declining more and more (paradoxically, with conservatives doing their best to accelerate the process). So they have this urge to oppose anything that they perceive could push us more distant from that mentally-utopian society, whether it's LGBT, electric cars, or anything else they deem unnecessary.
deadgerbil · 26-30
@Elessar yeah, nostalgia plays a big role in it, particularly when they tie their own identities to that past and view progressive forces as trying to erase it

You always hear that when it comes to the American South and the preservation of 'heritage' that's tied to the confederacy, its symbolism, and enduring legacy.

those Confederate statues erected during the jim crow era? You libs can't take those down, that's my heritage!!! The libs banned the Confederate flag from NASCAR!!!

Ironically, these are the same dumbas$es who will jump up and down saying that people shouldn't vote Democrat because the Democrats started the KKK.

They conveniently forget or outright deny that the Dems were the socially conservative party at the time, the party of their beloved heritage lol
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I didn't expect that 😅 Okay, so now who will tell me what does primary school mean in Australia? Is that for kids aged 5-11? Help, i'm confused. 🙈
Elessar · 26-30, M
@CrazyMusicLover I'll never understand why these people are so hellbent in getting outraged at scenarios that they make up in their mind (maybe they forget and believe it's real at some point?) 😆 I mean, if you're in good faith just drop a link, instead of making up all that theatrical nonsense about "hurr durr, I'm not debating with you further because you won't like my sources, google for them by yourself"
Pherick · 41-45, M
I could probably guess who around here.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I love reading your replies to these people. Just thought I would mention that.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@iamonfire696 Thanks. You can see why I don't apply for jobs where there's a face to face contact with customers, right? 🥴
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Elessar yes I can totally understand why. It’s too hard to hide the Eye rolling face to face lol

@CestManan If you make your bet in AUD than in USD you get closer to the solution of this dilemma 😜
