@SW-User Maybe...but a lot of what was going on is still the same for me now. Difference being I would have been able to stay home and do the home things instead of forced to work for others and be tired as all hell anyway.

@SW-User Agree. Working your own farm/smallholding would have been more rewarding than selling your labour to someone else.
