Turned to stone.

I turned to stone. I was friendly and bright but life hardened me. Now I'm quiet and dark. Nobody cared either way. I love nature and animals, and I still feel tons of joy and love being silly with my child, but otherwise my emotions simmer on the back burner throughout the day until I'm home with my sweet kiddo.

Yesterday I overheard a coworker mention my name, talking about how I don't smile. It stung but made me glad. I have no image to project and no one to please no matter what they think. You can't make people happy anyway.

I am still kind and fair, that's plenty.
