Emotions on earth bring pain? What about impersonal love, empathy?

When memories leave they hurt, don't they? What's the point of having something profound with anyone on a personal level when everything will change sooner or later and as memories vaporize from our consciousness they hurt and distract.

@GoFish Yea they keep seeping in thru the open wounds every now n then. Sometimes I feel the face changes, relationship changes but the pain is same.
