I was a pleasant, agreeable child.
Then it changed when I was a teen.

@SW-User You mean you were no longer pleasant and agreeable !! I'll have to learn to take things you say with a dollop of salt.

SW-User
@alan20 I had a really tough teen period. 😂 I mean, I was a good person and nice and all that, but I would have hated to be in my own mothers/ fathers/ siblings shoes around me back then.

@SW-User I trust you got my choice of composers. It's in the spelling. It occurred to me since - both Arne and Scriabin were somewhat sadistic, so I don't mind using them.

SW-User
@alan20 I am not as well versed in composers as you are. But I got the gist of what you were saying.

@SW-User Touche, as the French say. If we'd met it would have been cutlasses at dawn, or death by glares.

SW-User
@alan20 Instead of going that route, it could just have taken the path of education and introduction. 😂
I guess I am pleasant these days. Hahaah!

@SW-User You're probably much better brought up than I : Ar** from their Elbow. Not one of my best - too obscure.

SW-User
@alan20 That would depend on your definition of 'good upbringing'. :) Although none of that matters because we have all the capacity to make ourselves and as an adult I don't put much credit/discredit to my childhood and accept it as something that was a starting point of my life. What I did after, my responsibility.

@SW-User Or another path mon ami. There's a shoot-down invitation if ever there was one.
alan20 · M
@SW-User Maybe what we did but not how we felt.

SW-User
@alan20 I don't know what invitation was shot down. 🥺 I am often oblivious to a lot of things.
How we felt is very valid. Of course. But how we feel now about how we felt then is our responsibility. Also our responsibility to heal and grow.

@SW-User True. I think.
