I Value the Ability to Be Childlike

I Like My Inner Child... The knots some folks get themselves into is funny, however I don't feel any shame in admitting elements of my 'inner boy' are still present and correct in my adult life because we all use the different parts of our experiences in dealing as adults with various situations. I use insight into the world of play that was still present to help shape an after school club.
I still get a buzz from completing word searches, sticker albums, colouring, watching 'child centred' movies, cartoons and so on but it's no crime and sure doesn't mean I opt out of everyday adult responsibilities.
I have plushies and teddies I treasure, model cars and battleships I love playing with while receiving major credits for the work I did for various organizations.
To me having an inner child far from being a burden, enhances my life leaving me able to enjoy the spontaneity of the day and that's awesome.
True, there is no need to be shameful at all to allow your inner child to have his say in your "adult" life! Humans are always multi-faceted; while we know when we should be an adult, we should allow the inner child to unleash from within when it is appropriate - and this allows us to feel alive!
