I Can Laugh At Myself

The world stood still for a moment.
A second....
 His cheek against mine,
His arm around me.
It was a second. ..
But felt like 5 minutes. ..
In a busy restaurant kitchen
I know that's not possible. .
I have never felt that...
Or, if I have,  it's been so long I don't remember it.
Later that day,  he mentioned teasingly that he hadn't gotten me wet...
I muttered under my breath. ..
"Oh yes, you did."
