Richard Shadley dead after far too long

I see that the famous Montreal lawyer Richard Shadley died this spring. I'd say we're better off, but he died the same way Pol Pot did. The same way Josef Mengele did. Peacefully, free, at a ripe old age, after destroying so many lives, never having to face what he did.
Shadley was one of the most evil men you could know and definitely a psychopath with a Napoleon complex to boot. No crime was too depraved for him to defend, no trick too dirty and no maneuver too insidious. He was a very professional lawyer and a very sick man.

He made a career out of keeping perverts, murders, anyone on the streets as well as kicking their victims when they were down! He even defended a football player who killed his wife (Tommy Kane, they had 4 kids!) All those survivors who were made to relive their traumas, all those victims he humiliated, people who never did anything to him. PEOPLE WHO NEVER DID ANYTHING TO HIM! What kind of a man does that?

Well, now he's in a special place.

And I don't what to hear "he was only doing his job". That didn't work at Nuremberg, it won't work here.

I doubt many lawyers get into Heaven.

@hunkalove probably underrepresented there, but I can name a number of lawyers who are not ethically obliged to do evil. I could be wrong, but I think environmental lawyers, immigration lawyers, real estate and the like are probably alright

Mengele drowned in the sea off the coast of Bertioga during a sudden storm, struggling for life as the salt water filled his throat, he suffered a stroke. Not so peaceful.

@Richard65 Thanks, I didn't know that. I guess Shadley got an even better deal. Not only did he not suffer a nasty death, but he he didn't spend his last several decades on the run, with his life-long effort being an utter failure.

@PaulKersey I don't know Shadley, so I'm not aware of his dark deeds. You'll know more about him than I do.
Henry Kissinger is 100 years old and still consulted occasionally. Let that sink in.

@LeopoldBloom yeah, he's probably going to be with us forever

Now he will pay dearly for his sins.
