Is it bad manner to not put toilet seat "cover"down after use?

I get not putting seat down is rude, in considerate and bad manners. How about the cover? Does it bother you at home when your family doesnt put the cover down after use?

It doesn't bother me if they leave the cover up, but I prefer it to be down.

@Chiefjustice It started when I first got a kitten. I didn't want her falling in. It just became a habit after that.
