I Am a Bad Liar
I make it a habit not to lie to anyone I know. I am no angel, I readily admit. But I find it difficult to make up anything on the spur of the moment or ANY time.
I lied once in my life - I was three - and got caught squarely in it. I was punished for it. That was over six decades ago, and since then, I don't DO it.
However, I also have a lifelong bad stutter. If I get excited or upset, I stutter and stumble in my words. My dear brother tells me outright, "Don't stutter when you talk. People are going to think you're lying."
I can't control a lifelong problem. But, everyone, I don't lie. My mother knew it when she was here. So do my friends.
Why can't my sibling see things my way?
