I don't know why

It has taken me so long to see my mistakes-to see what I did was wrong, but I can see it now. Why was I so blind to myself? why did I not see what I was doing as being wrong? Anyone else feel this way?

Anyone else feel this way?
Probably everyone who has any sense of fellow feeling. There can't be many of us who lead a completely blameless life, and only the completely self-centred would fail to notice at least some of their own faults eventually.

But very often we think we are doing our best. It took me quite a while to understand that I sometimes need to think a little deeper to see if what looks right on the surface sometimes hides a deeper wrong.

Everyone is blind to their mistakes.
You’re lucky to recognize it, no matter how long it took.
Many never do.

@Thatsright thank you
This pretty much sums up everything.
The guilt and shame are overwhelming.

As Thatsright said... we are blind to it. It's very hard for us to truly see ourselves and face it. That is why so much of what we say is.. they, them, he, her. Placing blame outside of ourselves.

It seems to come in moments little at a time for me and it is not fun nor pretty. 🫣

@Magenta definitely not fun and I yearn for forgiveness
