I Am An Extroverted Introvert

I can only take so much of being around other people (even online) before my energy is drained, then I need to be alone again just to recuperate my energy reserves. I think it's more to do with CPTSD than introversion, but the two combined add to the effects I feel.

The effects? It's almost like having low blood sugar in a physical sense. It's physical and emotional and mental draining.

I understand you. I experience the same. I don't have CPTSD but I have other issues and even when I crave for human contact, I need to snap and recharge my energy.
I don't feel so overwhelmed on line but irl is pretty frequent.

I think we may be HSP (highly sensitive person/people). Our energy drains easily by others and certain environmental factors.

@Carissimi: I know for sure that I'm very sensitive. My childhood wasn't so horrible to justify so many fears and lack of confidence.
I know people who lived harder situations and they got ahead pretty well. 😔

@twistermind: It's just the way we are. Not better or worse than those who are not. It is what it is, if that's any consolation.

@Carissimi: Yes. I have hope in being able to accept myself. And trying that it doesn't affect to me so much to stop me from doing the things I want to do.
Thank you.
