Whatever happened to being nice

So i was always taught that if you've don't have anything nice to say to not say anything at all. Every time i come on here i scroll and scroll and scroll and not once have i felt the need to attack someone in the comments. Is this just the world we live in now?

Because people get to hide behind screens now and fake names and fake profiles and such. But it's always been faintness around us we just didn't notice because it wasn't advertised and shoved in our throat everyday like it is now
