MBTI and the 16 personality types of this world - Introduction

Introducing you all to MBTI. A personality theory. This theory focus on these 16 types and how we all fitting in to 1 of these 16 types.

MBTI types contains of something called cognitive functions.

Fe/Fi
Se/Si
Te/Ti
Ne/Ni

Here's a sum up of the meaning behind the cognitive functions

Each mbti type contains of 4 cognitive functions.
If you have Fi you can't have Fe. If you have Se you can't have Si. And so on.

They come in different order so for example one have NeTiFeSi (ENTP) and another type has TiNeSiFe. (INTP) Depending on the order, you behave and work in a certain way that suits 1 type out of these 16.

ENTP and INTP are similar in many ways but they differ as the I or E stands for extroverted/Introverted and because they have different order in their cognitive functions stack, they will also have some key differences in behaviour.

This is far more complex than I can type out here. I suggest googling mbti cognitive functions and researching the type or types you identify the most with or you can ask me or anyone in the MBTI / personality forum in here if you need help.

what makes this interesting to you? What made you look this up and post it? I am super dumb when it come to psychology and don't have an opinion on it one way or the other.

@robertsnj That's a great question! I'm a curious being into everything that has to do with the mind, behaviours and our psyche.

I also don't find humans to be completely unique (besides DNA) I think it makes sense that there's certain personality types and that we have similar behaviours to eachother and a logic explanation to it.

It's a fun thought to play around with but I take it with a grain of salt since it's only a theory.

@Queendragonfly where are you on this chart? Does this tie into your education or profession even if on a tangent.

@robertsnj Guess!

Yes it does to some extent. Certain types lean towards certain skills and interests which fits certain studies / careers.

@robertsnj ENTJ the commander for example. They prefer leading positions with a clear end goal with a deadline while some other types rather improvise/ don't like deadlines/ are spontaneous and don't need that type of spotlight or responsibility.

You'll rarely see an ENTJ who hates being in charge.

@Queendragonfly yikes guess.... Ok you work in a nursing orderly field at a med facility possibly for aging or people with substance abuse issues. I have no idea --I cheated look at your profile and it is so bare...what do you do? I am in tech sales in the USA

@robertsnj It could have been me, in another life! I'm actually not having any job at all. You didn't see that one coming did you?

But I had a dream once to work at a rehab facility, actually build my own. But it was more a fantasy. Not something I could realistically do. As I'm sick on leaves longterm.
