I don’t understand a few things.
First, why women don’t like doing what’s been shown in this image? What’s wrong with running a home or cooking or doing grocery?its your life & no one is forcing you to do it. There are many women who choose to love the way they like. Those who dislike this pic have the option to live like them. It’s all about choices. You have the option to marry a guy who is willing to stay home n take care of it. Marriage is a contract so have the right clauses. You have equal rights. Take care of your man, work your *** off and bring home livelihood after beating the rest of the world.
Secondly, this pic is acknowledging women’s role in our lives & still you are lamenting.
And last but most important, this post was not dedicated to ordinary women but to those special women who have brought us into this world, raised us & watched us, irrespective of our gender, grow n be successful.

@xbandoleerx
why women don’t like doing what’s been shown in this image?
Its not like women don't like it but it is a gendered expectation that women are the ones to do it. Those are all things men can do and should be shared but somehow in these images only women are portrayed that way.
its your life & no one is forcing you to do it
You seem ignorant of societies and communities that are still more partriarchal and force is not often direct and visible. It might be just gifting your little girl a toy kitchen even though she wanted a ball.
bring home livelihood after beating the rest of the world.
Throwing shade at women who work?
this post was not dedicated to ordinary women but to those special women who have brought us into this world
There are better ways to show dedication to mothers than to portray them stereotypical and overworked.

@Gloomy I must say that I am impressed by your meticulousness.
It’s very easy to criticize people for their expression, for their work and the way they do it. What they are doing or have done or intend doing doesn’t necessarily have to be be in line with your thoughts, views, and concepts. So when you read some thing (be it beautiful, ugly or idiotic) don’t assume that it was prepared in accordance or keeping in line with your mindset.
Try doing what you are suggesting.

I did not do that try reading what I wrote and address my arguments.

Of course not but what matters to me is freedom of choice and self determination for all women. If there are no systems of coercion in place women are free to choose however they want to live their life. I respect stay at home moms but it should be her choice alone and there should be protective measures in place since stay at home moms are a vulnerable group who receive no income or benefits for their work.

@Gloomy I think you are depressed and you are just letting your steam out.
What is your story?
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
We know some people come here just to fire away and feel happy by making other people upset and angry. I think you are exactly one such case and we are willing to help you, please let it out.
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx Wow you cannot even have a civil discussion on womens rights and life.
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx I am a woman and one that is politically active and stay informed on womens rights internationally. If I see sexism I feel the need to address it.
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy what I’m trying to tell you is you have the right to hold whatever use you have. Please don’t try to thrust them on others.
Do you get it now?
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx
you have the right to hold whatever use you have.
What does that mean?
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy then go and start your own thread instead of creating fuss over here. Get lost.
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy views*
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx I don't create views I share mine this is an open forum and since this post is supposed to be about women why don't you want to engage with what we have to say.
You have been rude to Gaiia for example.
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy Listen, just like you are not agreeing to a pic, in the same way I don’t agree with the way you see things.
I don’t want to engage in any kind of argument or discussion with you because the objective of my post was not to create a debate here.
Is it something which is too difficult to understand?
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx Oh I get you didn't want a discussion but reading how you react to the responses shows what kind of man you are. Being close minded and a mysogyinist is not a good look.

Responding is futile since your mind is closed and you strawmaned my positions.
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy why did you make specific comment about my country?
Don’t such things happen in your country?
Your country is supposed to be an educated & civilized one, is there no wife-battering and rapes of women?
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx To be specific I asked whether these are problems in your country I did not make a statement.

We do have partriarchal family structures still but it keeps getting better. Especially because we need men who actively go against these things and not promote gender roles.
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy there are problems in my country in the family structures, and women have been subjected to gross injustices, but that is primarily because of poverty and lack of education. And mostly such occurrences are in rural areas. But that does not mean that the urban areas are devoid of such problems.
If you go and live in big cities, you would find that women are having better lives.
I have two beautiful loving daughters.
They have studied from abroad, are married to guys of their choice. They have kids, they manage their homes while pursuing their careers as professional (a dentist and a marketing executive)
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy To be specific I asked whether these are problems in your country I did not make a statement.
Sorry, I don’t buy that. The scorn and sarcasm was evident in there
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx None intended I wanted to confront you with the results of a society organised on gender hierarchies though since you seem surprised women are not happy about this depiction. Stay at home moms are an incredibly vulnerable group of people.
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy so what do you have in mind? What kind of a structure should a society or country have? Should everybody be equal the Tom Dick and Harry? Should there be no leader and no led? Should everybody be taking decisions and nobody should be following anyone? Please tell me something concrete.
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy I will accept that. I apologize for misunderstanding you
Gloomy · F
@xbandoleerx Women should be equal and be able to take part in political decision making. Religion and State need to be speperated (don't know how that is in your country) and discrimination based on gender, race or sexual orientation must be fought and taken seriously. There are no natural hierarchies only created ones. Women can lead too and more democracy is needed in the economy anyway and that everywhere
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Gloomy I concur 😊🙂
See you always win 🏆
