Catfishing is such a strange concept...

Essentially someone gives their personality someone else's looks, but someone's looks are also given a second personality. But it can get weirder! Have you ever considered that the person in photos, so called of the person you're talking to but not really, may already be dead? And that your photos may be used to represent someone else after your death? The latter is kinda beautiful in a way, isn't it? (Not nearly beautiful enough to outweigh the creepiness, but still.)

Yeah, my mind went to strange places tonight. 😅
I wouldnt some gross old man to use my pics to seduce whoever after im dead thats not beautiful
@TryingtoLava yeah, it's much more creepy than beautiful for sure.

Its all weird. Im sure people do use phitos from peoplecwho are no longer with us, no one is immune.

I found pics my good friend here sent me were from the insra page if quite a successful guy. Theirbames were similar. Was it actually him?? The odd thing was, i alsi found pics on his accoubt another friend here sent me, suggesting my two friends were likely the same person! I messaged insta guy andcwe exchanged a few messages and i was satisfied this guy had no clue who i was, hence, nit the personid got to know for over 4 years!!
Thing is, i got a bit if comfort from knowing the handsome man i believed was my friend is actually living a happy successful life and i can see hus adventures on Insta at any time.
So who were my two friends who used that guys pics?? Was anything we spoke about true. Where the two friends in cahoots to bluff me..or where they the same person? Onviously i contacted them both here and email and got no replies....and both their emails either blocked me or were deleted at the same time the day i write to them asking if they had any explainatons for me over the pics.....

Or old photos of themselves and they no longer look like that anymore
@ScarletWitch I've never thought about that, but that's indeed a form of catfishing too.

Nah it’s just called having no life in my unpopular opinion.
@Wallflow3r that too, obviously.

Nothing more nothing less. People that do that sort of thing clearly have nothing going on in their life. I’ve seen some pretty serious catfishes on Facebook they live a second life on the internet. They go as far as posting vacation pictures, pictures of their home and pictures of other stuff that isn’t theirs. They also make up stories of what they are doing in life..It’s really odd.. I guess their life sucks so much that they need to escape by creating a fake one over the internet.🤷‍♀️ Not trying to sound harsh but that’s what I think of someone when they are catfishing the worst ones are on dating sites though.. not only are they wasting their own time doing it but their wasting other peoples time. I simply don’t get it and I don’t see where the sense of fulfillment comes in when they know they are making it up. @NerdyPotato
@Wallflow3r you hit the nail right on the head.
Lol... I used my own pictures and got accused of being a cat fish...

Like... yeah, catfish love stealing pics of my ugly mug.

I never understood the reason behind it. Especially on an anonymous site
@AlyAngel me neither... You don't have to share any picture if you don't want to show yourself. Other people's are often used to fish for compliments, but what are they worth if they aren't about you?
