Alright, so how many females here are aware that lifting weights actually serves to shape your body and will not make you look "manish"?

I know that
I don't believe that

The musculature of a male and the musculature of a female are different in shape and structure; in order for a female to get so muscular that she begins to take on male characteristics she would have to put in a far, far, greater amount of work than any of you would even care to dream about much less do.

Either that, or drugs....and possibly even both!
We were taught about this in 9th or 10th grade

@TurtleEclipseOfTheHeart well y'all act like yall dont know so i guess yall werent paying attention
@Eternity N!gga, that’s just you assuming and putting everybody into a box. Don’t group me in with people you’ve had past experiences with that don’t apply to me when I don’t even know those people

Strenght training, including lifting, is what is best for me. It helps me gain bit muscles but not enough yet.

Cardio is too much for me.

And no, I don't look like a dude. Even though I been doing for few years on and off + lot of farmwork

I look pretty soft and kinda small still.

@Miram I respect tf outta you, I vibe w cardio but lifting is too 😵tough for me 😫

I don’t think that btw that was my poor attempt at a joke and I apologize if I offended anyone

I’m pretty sure no one thinks this
@DeluxedEdition exactly 😭

@DeluxedEdition you made me think about it but i didn't think that you meant that. But no, a lot of women really do think this. Maybe not on this platform but in the fitness world it is a real issue. I've heard it on several occasions from several different women.

@Eternity weird.
Eternity · 26-30, M
@caccoon indeed you are

Pretty much the entire reason I joined a gym is for better access to weights 🤷‍♀️
Eternity · 26-30, M
@summersong you'll be dangerous after year or two of consistency.

I really don't know how much I would have to lift to look "manish".
Eternity · 26-30, M
@CrazyMusicLover more than you even can without devoting your life to it most likely
GeniUs · 56-60, M
This is true in fact I lifted weights to look more feminine and now I have a good bust.

Moi. With moderation. I love how it shapes the arms.
I love weights 😌

I hate how often I have to explain stuff like that to people. Fitness and health aren't too complicated but there's so much misinformation out there.
@SW-User Theyre taken in by the diet culture of instagram. Like, eat 1000 calories a day. The fuck.
