Another Hero Question.

Earlier this month I asked for your definition of a hero in the form of a person. This is a follow up question.
Have you ever been disappointed by or felt disillusionment at someone you thought of as a hero.
If so what happened? How did that person whom you previously considered a hero disappoint you or leave you disenchanted?

As with my other postings I ask for no memes or gifs and for responses to be kept civil.

I had what i thought was an elder brother in Christ once.. We agreed on most things except Calvinism.. Well we had a debate on the issue and i caught him changing the words in scripture.. changing the tense of the word, which changed the whole message of the passage.. I pointed out what he had done but he refused to admit it or repent of it... That was the end of our fellowship.

It is a very serious offense to tamper with the word of God..
@Adstar I can imagine that disagreement was distressing for him as well as it was for you.
