Why are future movies always so Grim?

Why do most movies about the future always be about humans being killed by robots or disease or aliens. I haven't seen any movies about the future that are positive. I'm scared to look to the future so to speak lol

I guess conflict is a more interesting story with stronger emotions and it forces characters to extend themselves to overcome the problems.

If a movie were just about relaxation and love, I think the audience would fall asleep.

Same thing for the historical movies. Of course life was tough back then even when there was peace. So much time spend just trying to stay alive, clean, warm, fed, etc.
