My foster family was super into it. I wonder if they did something on me.. I pray so I would hope god is protecting me but I wonder if that stuff really works

Magical thinking is childish - believing a wish can make something manifest without taking physical actions. If it were possible everyone would get rich on the stock exchange or by winning Lotto.
On the other hand, if you're talking about herbal medicines and midwifery, that's a different matter - perfectly okay unless there's a really serious illness of complication.
