I'm not a teacher or expert on the subject, but I have studied somewhat on witchcraft.Ill share with you a few random things;I hope you find it interesting.During the period of the Catholic Inquestion, there were protocols for dealing with women who were put on trial for the practice. If a woman was arrested for practicing witchcraft, her shoes were confiscated and she was required to be barefoot at all times. This was done because it was believed that being barefoot would greatly diminish a witches powers.During the trial or questioning, her bare feet had to be clearly visible at all times as a safety measure.Othet things were also done. There was fear that even with her powers reduced, there was a chance that a witch may entrance or otherwise cast a spell on a Judge/Inquiztor simply making eye contact. Therefore, suspects were made to walk backwards to the courtroom so that they couldn't do so.A certain area of ground was usually blessed and made holy or consecrated. It was believed that if witch stood in bare feet upon scared ground, with the soles of their feet firmly in place,it render a witch completely powerless.A suspected witch in the courtroom was accordingly not allowed to even look at anyone until her bare feet were clearly placed on the alloted holy area.
