Fairy mounds, also known as síthe or fairy forts, are ancient earthen enclosures and prehistoric burial sites scattered across the Irish landscape. Rooted in Celtic mythology, they are viewed as portals to the Otherworld and the underground palaces of the Tuatha Dé Danann.
