A huldra is a beautiful but deceptive forest creature from Scandinavian folklore, known for her alluring charm and hidden animal features, such as a cow's or fox's tail and a hollow back. She lures men into the forest, with encounters leading to either enchantment, being lost forever, or even death. While often portrayed as a temptress, particularly after Christianization, the huldra can also be benevolent to those who show respect to nature, rewarding or punishing people based on their actions.
