Is the Universe ruled by a great consciousness ?

No, but one could argue the universe is conscious because it contains sentient beings who are not separate from the universe.

@coven Not exactly -- just that the universe is conscious because we are! I'm proposing we frame the issue a little differently because we are the universe, too.
