It could but not in any of our life times. Black holes in space are created when aging suns implode on themselves sucking in everything from the surrounding universe into their center to be crushed.

@justanothername Those only happen to suns which are much, much bigger than ours. I think science predicts our sun will be a red giant and end as a brown dwarf.
