Stargazing with sister

You know, other cities could really learn from my city. Mesa, Arizona, one of the most populous cities in the US! Yet there’s no excess light pollution.

I know because I’m sitting here with my wonderful big sis and we’re looking up at the stars together. There’s not a whole lot of stars up in the sky, but they’re still visible! Like in cities like Los Angeles or NYC where there’s so much light, many long-term residents go their whole lives without ever once seeing the stars.

Sis and I were just talking about it. Thinking about how much we owe to our being able to stargaze as to how close we are. With so many memories we have of watching the stars together, we don’t know where we would be if we couldn’t see them. Not something I like to think about because I love being as inseparable as we are; and that we can still share an old pastime together after all these years.

I saw the stars frequently when I lived in NYC, and now that I live just outside NYC I see them often as well. I don’t know anyone who’s never seen stars in the night sky.
I’ve visited Los Angeles a couple of times, and was able to see stars there as well (and I was only there for about a week each time). From the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles I could see lots of stars.
I think clouds/smog are probably more of an impediment to seeing stars than light pollution.

@Ducky I don’t know about Los Angeles, but even recently in NYC we could still see the stars easily on a clear night....and I don’t consider something lucky if it happens often enough. Maybe in downtown Manhattan if might be a problem, but NYC is much more than that area,

@DragonFruit Going by my wife’s recent visit to NYC, she was in Queens and she said she couldn’t see any stars. Idk, lol

@Ducky Up until a couple of years ago my mother-in-law lived in Queens ( she passed away this April), and I've been there frequently even since....I think it was more like a case of your wife being unlucky. Stars can frequently be seen from Queens....not always, but probably as often as not.

Light pollution is a big problem, so the whole world could and should learn from Mesa. And it's awesome that you can enjoy this with your sis. 😌

That said, I think it's time for bed because I read the start of your second paragraph as "I’m sitting here with my wonderful big tits" at first. 😅
