Once upon a cloud

Monday afternoon, liminal stillness
The long, slow, drone of a plane’s engine
fading away into the distance,
Like some echo of time..
To lives somewhere beyond.
Captivating Clouds float under azure
Something lost, something faded,
in a swell of nostalgia over the psyche.
Substantial…impalpable.
