I saw one in 1976. I remember the year because it was a bicentennial year. I picked it up as I was getting the mail. It was very dark and isolated where I was living on a horse farm. It went from over head all the way over the horizon. I'll never forget it or probably ever see another one like it. Not one word on the news about anyone seeing it.
@Gibbon Ahh yes, the comet that was the sign of my coming as was foretold. It just so happens that it showed 2 years too early, or was I 2 years too late? 😐
