Fireball in the sky

So today around lunch I witnessed what can only be described as a very weird 'rumble' from above that seemed to go on for more than a solid minute. Sounded like thunder but just kept rolling on. No break like typical thunder. Blue skies for as far as the eye could see. Thought perhaps a plane or helicopter. Shrugged my shoulders and went about my day.
Well now I am hearing that supposedly it was possibly a meteor that came down. 😧
Any of my other SE friends experience this??

Nope nothing like that here. It wasn’t another SpaceX explosion I hope.

@Ambroseguy80 I hope not ... hoping it's a meteorite like many reports are saying. It was super weird non the less.

@skmokisses I experienced something similar many years ago early one evening. It was around dusk time and something aloft came streaking through the sky. I attributed it to some sort of space junk re-entering the atmosphere.

@Ambroseguy80 Had I seen the so called 'fireball' I would have thought the same. But not seeing anything and just hearing the odd 'rumbling' was a bit strange. It even rattled the house.

@skmokisses yeah. And there were no earthquakes, correct?

@Ambroseguy80 Correct. There has been no evidence of any earthquake activity. However, they are saying GLM (Geostationary Lightening Mapper) did pick up on the flash of the alleged meteor.
