The milky way

When I was a kid, I experienced saw the milky way at night. The view has so much impact on me, that even today y the memory it´s pretty clear. The massive amount of stars, the colors, the darkness. One of my most precious moments.

It's a shame that so many people live in cities with light pollution and never see the Milky Way. Like you, I was amazed every time I saw it when I was on a dark lake or other place with no artificial light.

@exexec Yeah, I hate the light pollution. That time I saw it in a crops field, far from the city. I really love the night sky

I saw it once in my life – when I was 12.

Just the other night I went to a dark sky location (Bortle 2). I saw tons of stars. I'm pretty sure if I stayed past midnight I would have seen the galaxy for the 2nd time in my life, but I didn't. Had to go home earlier, back to the city 😔

@SW-User, Oh :(, yeah it´s a very beautiful experience. Around the cities, it´s practically impossible to watch it. Did you go to watch the night sky?

@ike3656 Yes. Stargazing is actually an interest of mine. Sadly in my city I'd be lucky if I were able to see 25 stars on the clearest of nights so I kinda have to "travel" for it.
