Who is the most famous/infamous person you’ve been around and didn’t know that person was famous?

I’ll go first. Most of you are young, you won’t know this guy. Most of the old people won’t either. But look him up. You’ll see.

When I was a teenager I had a summer job working in an office building. The owner of the building was the “owner” if you know what I mean. She had an office there too. A relative of hers often was on the property. Mr. Estes. Billy Sol Estes.

i was in a bar in seattle before a whitecaps vs sounders game. i was with 2 friends. i noticed the table next to me had a man and 2 very hot looking women sitting with him. i tell my buddy (and not my other friend, his wife) to turn around. he then says oh, that's drew carey. had it not been for my friend i wouldn't have recognized him. i'm surmising the 2 women were perhaps models from his show, but who knows. we had a nice conversation with them. drew is part owner of the sounders as well. i did meet tommy lee and heather locklear in the 80s when i was a kid up in whistler but i knew right away who they were

My wife was standing in line, holding our infant daughter, when the redheaded gentleman behind her offered to hold the baby while Lynn took care of business. The man entertained the baby and then returned her to my wife. It was only then that she learned the man was Red Adair, the famous oil well fire fighter.

@0uijaFinger I have a mutual friend of a famous politician. (Now retired, the politician, not friend.) I met him at my friend’s house and around town. After seeing him a couple of times I asked where I knew him from, besides our mutual friend. At the time he held an elected state office.

We have famous client who plays hockey for famous team but I can’t say any more than that.

My former optometrist is Diane Plese and I had been going to her for years and I adored her. It wasn’t until after she closed down her office in my city to focus on working in Toronto that I found out and her husband was Robert Herjavec and they used to rent out their bridle path mansion to the Rolling Stones when they were in town.

.one more just for fun. I’ve been friends with this guy since elementary school and his brother is Scott Thompson from kids in the hall. Grew up in same neighbourhood
