Tonight's "Sturgeon" Moon

There was some smoke from the Canadian fires, and some clouds, but they all made the moon look more mystical, although not as sharp as it could have been. The beautiful orange glow had to be brought out a bit.

I just edited another image to show the clouds that were partially obscuring the moon.

@JoyfulSilence nice images, the moon is very bright, your images are a bit overexposed. were these taken with a phone? if so, look to see if it has a professional mode and you can vary the exposure. mine were taken with an actual camera.

I used a Pixel phone I bought last year, on 30x zoom, normal setting. At first it was just a white blob, then it fluctuated and occasionally dinned so I could see detail. Yet if it focused on the trees it became a blob again.

I am inside now, digesting pizza, so no more moon photos today.
